Isoko youth group alleges diversion of DESOPADEC’s N10m Social Security vote

Okowa to call DESOPADEC MD, Askia Ogieh to order The group, Isoko Youth Assembly has called on Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to call the Managing Director of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Chief Askia Ogieh to order over the uneven distribution of the monthly N10 million Social Security Vote meant for Isoko youth groups. The youth body made the call in a statement made available to newsmen in Warri on Friday President of the youth group, Comrade Onoriode Omagufi, alleged that part of the fund which usually accrue to youth groups in the area, is being pocketed by some undisclosed elements. He said that members of his youth group would no longer tolerate being sidelined in the distribution of the fund being the only legally registered youth body in Isoko nation.
