As the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, senatorial primaries draw closer, ex-militants, youth organisations, women groups from Ijaw, Isoko, Itsekiri and Urhobo ethnic nationalities converged on Ogbe-Ijoh, headquarters of Warri South-West Local Government Area, Delta State, to express their support for Senator James Manager’s re-election.
One of the co-ordinators of the group, who is also the chairman of Ogboin-Ama political forum, ‘General’ Preye Ekpebide, described Senator Manager as a man of integrity, a grassroots developer and a peace bridge builder.
Ekpebide called on the delegates to shun money politics and base their choice on the antecedents of the aspirant that had mostly affected the lives of its constituents since 1999.
He urged the PDP hierarchy at the national and state levels to provide a level playing field for all aspirants.
